Miele coffee machine

Miele was the first brand to make a built in coffee machine for modern kitchens. It looks the part and does the business.

Here are the instructions for the Miele coffee machine. A copy can also be found on the coffee table.

MIELE BUILT IN COFFEE MACHINE - INSTRUCTIONS

Turn knob, positioned top left of the coffee machine, Clockwise to second position (Quarter past the hour).

Follow the instructions (LED display in window).

The coffee machine will tell you what to do. For example, if the machine needs water it will tell you to fill the water container. Likewise, if it needs coffee beans it will tell you to put some in.

The coffee machine will say “Warming up.” Then it will say
“Select Product.”

Put a coffee cup under the two dispensing spouts and select cup size required (3 raised buttons showing cup size 1,2,3, Espresso size coffees).

The operation is now complete. If you require a Cappuccino or Latte you will need to use the steam nozzle.

Put the milk into the milk jug (Three quarters full will provide approximately 2 to 3 Cappuccino’s or Latte’s).

Turn the Steam knob Anticlockwise and point the steam nozzle away from you. When it starts to steam turn it Clockwise to cut the steam, then place the milk jug underneath and turn it anticlockwise again to turn it back on. Bring the milk to the required temperature and froth.

After removing the milk jug, wipe the steam nozzle with a clean cloth straight away (This is important because if left the milk will stick to the steam nozzle and will be difficult to clean off).

To fill the water container or put more coffee beans in open the front of the coffee machine by pulling from under the top right hand corner.

HOW TO FILL THE WATER CONTAINER
Lift and pull out the water container by its handle and remove the lid. FILL Water container to mark (Use bottled drinking water only, NOT distilled).

HOW TO PUT MORE COFFEE BEANS IN
Pull out the coffee bean draw (Top centre of coffee machine) and lift the lid to put the coffee beans in. Use ONLY roasted coffee beans and not flavoured ones.
